Pregnancy, Labor And Delivery With Von Willebrands

Pregnancy, Labor And Delivery With Von Willebrands

HI I am a 31 year old female with Von Willebrands. I was told I would die during labor and delievery, but notice you have 2 children. Did you have any complications during pregnqacy and childbirth?

Also as long as you know that you have Von Willebrands and are able to get proper treatment before and after delivery there is no reason why you shouldn't have a perfect pregnancy. Actually your body produces more vonwillebrands factor while pregnant. No doctor should say you will die during delivery. They have treatments out there. I would recommend finding a hemophilia treatment center not a hematologist. They don't know about hemophilia or rare bleeding disorders which is strange but true! I take humate P infusion and I can get it at home if necessary. And as long as you have a good platelet count you can use DVadp, and trans anemic acid as well. There are options!

I had three perfect pregnancies and births and didn't find out I had VWD until I was 34 and I was done having kids. However, I have been on a 6 year journey trying to control a delayed post part hermmorage. I've tried all different hormone therapies some work for a while, and I had a good three years of no bleeding! But I tried a new method and I'm struggling with it again! I pray I can get back in an even Kiel!
