I don’t have a platelet disorder, but I do have Von Willebrands and bleeding time test are now done via a regular blood draw you don’t have to do the timed test with the cuts on your arms anymore. And yes normally Von Willebrands get better during pregnancy, however not always mine did not. I would contact your hematologist for follow up.

I have vwd with platelet and factor VIII ISSUES. I have two children and only had problems after the birth of second. I bled for a month afterwards until they gave me fVIII infusions. That seemed to fix the problem! Just make sure your dr. Is aware of your vw’s and knows what to look for and is educated on what to do. It’s not bad. Don’t worry!
